The strange thing is that your Firefox seems to send the job with the option
PrintoutMode=Draft.Gray This leads to a grayscaled printout and even to a lower output quality than "Normal". Which version of Ubuntu (Gutsy, Hardy, ...) and Firefox are you using? Can you go into the printing dialog of Firefox and click "Properties"? Then another dialog appears.
