this happens to me a lot. Kaffeine isn't the problem. All drag and drop actions that involve another window grabbing focus with tooltip shown will crash if your mouse moves back to the tooltip (given that the window overlaps dolphin, as mentioned by the OP).
I also noticed hovering on icons with filename on a single line will not display a tooltip; however icons with 2 or more lines will _always_ show tooltips; even if the whole file name is displayed (as opposed to truncated with '...'). I can reproduce this easily like so: 1. open two instances of dolphin - A and B. (assuming icon or preview mode) 2. choose a file from A, click and drag (make sure B overlaps the icon on A, and that A displays a tooltip when mouse is hovering over it) 3. ALT-TAB to B 4. release mouse / drop to destination. 5. notice tooltip from icon on A still displayed. move mouse to tooltip. 6. A crashes -- Dolphin crashes (SIGSEGV) under certain drag'n'drop conditions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156002 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
