This is necessary as the installer needs to verify the options that you've
selected on each page. In the case of the partitioner, it needs to run through
the tests with every change as your options change depending on the selections
you make there.
There may be some speed ups in this for 8.04, but only as the possible
byproduct of the usability and reliability work as this is a long term support
release and major speed improvements will require changes to the foundation
that are too intrusive for this release.
