Also continuing from my messages earlier today, I had some promising
looking output from the following two commands...
aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Audio [Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio], device 0: HdmiLpeAudio [Intel HDMI/DP
LPE Audi]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Audio [Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio], device 1: HdmiLpeAudio [Intel HDMI/DP

Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Audio [Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio], device 2: HdmiLpeAudio [Intel HDMI/DP

Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: bytchtcx2072x [bytcht-cx2072x], device 0: Audio (*) []

Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: bytchtcx2072x [bytcht-cx2072x], device 1: Deep-Buffer Audio (*) []
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [Audio ]: HdmiLpeAudio - Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio
Intel HDMI/DP LPE Audio
1 [bytchtcx2072x ]: bytcht-cx2072x - bytcht-cx2072x
ASUSTeKCOMPUTERINC.-E200HA-1.0-E200HA
Does this help at all? Is there a reason the HDMI/DP LPE audio output
would be picked as the default? Any advice on testing this further?
