Building any kernel related modules with older versions of gcc-7 can be
problematic because of the linux headers.  I'm note sure of a way to fix
this as it's predicated on the kernel being built with a more recent
compiler.

However, newer kernels do have the fwts kernel driver built in, so the
dkms module is not required.
