mtp-tools do not seem to work too well but Amarok works fine. I get the following at the start of various mtp-tools output:
libmtp version: 0.2.1 Attempting to connect device(s) Device 1 (VID=041e and PID=4158) is UNKNOWN. Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team PTP: Opening session Often after using Amarok the mtp-tools work just fine, I can only imagine it has something to do with the initial detection. Perhaps I should report my device information to the libmtp guys. Let me know.
