Made a Live drive using balenaEtcher. Changed the label on focal-desktop-amd64 20200223 writable partition to home-rw, resulted in a partition that was persistent for home stuff, wallpaper, etc, but not for new installed programs, as would be expected for a home-rw partition.
Made a persistent Focal drive using mkusb. Relabeled the "casper-rw" partition to "writable". Persistence did not work.
