The new version is also buggy. My installation is default focal server with

Removing /boot/initrd.img-5.4.0-14-generic.dpkg-bak update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-5.4.0-14-generic with 1. after calling update-initramfs -u -v &> out.txt .
