The hardware maintenance phase of 16.04 finished end Q1 2018. The release date of the Kingston SA400S37 ssd was Q1 2017. Therefore, the upstream decision from Debian maintainer, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/smartmontools/+bug/1858121 is within the bounds of the hardware maintenance phase. Accordingly, update-smart-drivedb should be reinstated, backported from 18.04.
