Public bug reported:
When clang is used instead of gcc to provide /usr/bin/cc, the DKMS build
fails due to using an unknown flag. It seems that the package should
therefore explicitly depend on gcc and call out to gcc rather than
relying on the system cc.
Relevant error:
error: unknown warning option '-Wno-unused-but-set-variable'; did you mean
'-Wno-unused-const-variable'? [-Werror,-Wunknown-warning-option]
Resetting the system cc to gcc with update-alternatives resolves the
issue.
This is on 20.04 LTS.
