Brian, the problem still exists, I have to pass "acpi=noirq" to the kernel
if I want to use the via driver.  I don't know what causes it - but once
it's in grub I'm fine (until I install a new kernel and forget to update
menu.lst!).

Should have updated the bug with my workaround though, sorry.
