I can confirm this issue, although with a different wireless chipset (I
believe).

I am using a System76 Serval Performance laptop:
Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4 GHz 800 MHz FSB 4 MB L2 <pasted from system76.com>
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02) <from
lspci>

While I haven't tried to connect to an unencrypted network with the amd64
version
of gutsy, connecting to a wpa2 secured network fails. This occurs with both
the live cd,
as well as a fully updated installation. Connecting fails when handled by the
nm-applet
and when manually setting it up with the usual wpa_supplicant command line
method.

When watching (and manually initiating) each step of the process, no errors are
generated
pertaining to the drivers/modules, or when scanning (via iwlist) or associating
with the network;
however no traffic is passed over the connection. DHCP fails and transmitting
packets over
the manually configured interface never receives any response.

This does not occur with the 32 bit version of gutsy (live cd or fully
updated install).
