I am getting the same or a similar problem, as far as I can tell.

I did updates for OpenOffice, and they failed. An error message
indicated to run:

sudo apt-get install -f

which results in:

In synaptic, running "Fix Broken Packages" and "Apply" results in the same
error message.

I found several posts in the forums that indicated that others have had
problems updating OpenOffice, but I haven't found any consistent fixes
to the problem.

I'm running Gutsy.
