I have to force the shutdown and restart. When it restarts, I go into the recovery mode - and then if I press resume - it starts. Every time I don't take that step do from the grub menu, it just hangs. I've tried updating packages, and grub - but same issue 2) Screen - Earlier I could connect to an external monitor with all settings displayed. Now that option is no longer visible therefore it does not recognize the external monitor. "Unknown Display" is shown for the internal display. 3) Brightness - I am unable to increase or lower the brightness on the laptop.
