Same issue. Ubuntu 20.04, kernel 5.4.0-40-generic. Dell XPS 15 9560 with GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile using the 440 driver. Issue only happens when using the "Performance" profile in the NVIDIA X server settings. No issues when using the integrated GPU.
