I'm running Gutsy (could have sworn I put that in the original post, sorry!). I upgraded in-place from Feisty, which was upgraded in place from Edgy, which was upgraded in place from Dapper.
Furthermore, disabling the screensaver entirely seems to be a workaround. Currently, the screensaver is disabled, and power management is set to "never" for both putting the computer to sleep and putting the display to sleep. I have not had any problems in this configuration. I'm about to head to my parents' and my in-laws' for the holidays, so I'll postpone trying new drivers until I return. Having found a stable setup, I need to keep it like this while I'm out of town (so I can continue to access my email which is served from this box). -- display froze and no input (keyb/mouse) accepted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158876 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
