When systemd-resolved is used, you are better off using the openvpn-
systemd-resolved package instead. To do so, you need to `apt install
openvpn-systemd-resolved` and add the following lines to your config:
script-security 2
setenv PATH /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin
up /etc/openvpn/update-systemd-resolved
up-restart
down /etc/openvpn/update-systemd-resolved
down-pre
And remove lines related to the update-resolv-conf script.
The openvpn-systemd-resolved package is suggested by openvpn so it seems
like a local configuration/setup issue which is why I'll mark the bug as
invalid. Please let us know if you think there is something that could
be improved on the Ubuntu side. Thanks!
