** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: qt4-qtconfig

The default font for Qt4 apps on Ubuntu is Sans Serif. For some reason,
some letters and digits render very badly is Qt4 apps. I'm joining to
this report a screenshot so that you can see for yourself. At the top,
there is the qt4-qtconfig tool (with default configuration) and at the
bottom, there is a Qt4 apps with text in the lineEdit field. You can see
that in the field some letters and digits (like F, R, 3, 8, 9...) render
very badly (italics and cut on the right).

If I change the font from "Sans Serif" to "Serif", then everything is
- ok. When I was using Kubuntu, I was experiencing this problem, probably
- because the default font is different.
+ ok. When I was using Kubuntu, I was not experiencing this problem, maybe
+ the default font is different.

Note: The Qt4 apps I used as an example doesn't mess with the fonts, it
  just uses system default font.
