Right. OK. Sorry. Personally I think upgrades (using do-release-upgrade) should be something that is of interest to be checked during beta, but you're the boss.
Looking more into the issue and comparing with a fresh Groovy from docker, I identified the issue as the fact that I have libqt5core5a version 5.15 installed from another build and that blocks the very specific ABI version that qps apparently requires - that is supposed to be provided by Groovy's older libqt5core5a version 5.14. This is probably a breakage in the particular libqt5 package I'm using, which provides qtbase-abi-5-13-2 but not other "qtbase-abi"s that one might think it should provide as it is supposedly backwards compatible to them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1899616 Title: Upgrading from focal to groovy, qps cannot be updated To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qps/+bug/1899616/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
