However, as a developer myself, I feel this is mostly** unambiguously a bug*** and hope it can be considered as such. If I can get a timely response (specifically, i have about a week to return the device if it can't be made to work), I am OK installing a custom kernel to test a fix. ** mostly unambiguous: my system follows official ubuntu docs verbatim.
