Public bug reported:

Hello

I did an install of ubuntu 20.04 in legacy mode in an SSD.
Everything works perfectly fine. For the sake of helping people, I decided to
make an error in the /boot directory.( mv grub burg)
Unsurprisingly, the boot does not work. The error indicated is:
ERROR: file "/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mode not found".
It is therefore theoretically repairable.
The documentation says to do these commands

ls

set root=(hd0,msdos1)
set prefix=(hd0,msdos1)/usr/lib/grub
normal insmod
normal

But the ls command does not list the partitions contained in the SSD but
only those present in the hard disks

It seems abnormal to me

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
