Public bug reported:
ubuntu-desktop is slow at starting and also when I click show applications
(That 9 dots on the Dock) it shows slowly and also animating incorrectly. It is
so slow that barely I can select activites and click show applications. And
also ubuntu-desktop is taking up system resources highly. sometimes when I open
and close show applications it opens and before closing it shows wallpaper for
few seconds and then closes. I am a windows user and curious to know linux
works.
Windows 8.1 is way faster than ubuntu booting on a virtual machine with just 2
gig of memory. Both are same specs 2 gigs of ram and 1 core and 2 processors. I
don't know what causes this bug.
