greetings! So.. what exactly is this "evdi" that you were mentioning? I just returned the laptop from a few hours unattended (did not suspend, just lock / walk away) and was greeted by flickering, this time only a part of the screen but all the time.
the flicker that I usually see is short, then results in a black screen for 2-10 seconds, then it's all good again. This time, it was ongoing and the syslog was full of those: mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected mrt 21 21:32:12 moya kernel: evdi: [D] evdi_detect:94 (dev=0) poll connector state: disconnected undock > dock and all was good again. still can't correltate the event.. sometimes hours pass without a flicker, then 10 per hour. anything else I can do/test? thanks for any hints Andreas -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1920036 Title: [DisplayLink] screen flicker on gnome with t450s with ultra dock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1920036/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
