Hi, I've stumbled across this post here after I've searched for the error message "rnp_op_verify_execute returned unexpected" on Google.
@yg-info I've tested the beta version "88.0b2" (simply downloading the .tar.bz2 for Linux and executing the "thunderbird" binary) and it's now working. The two emails, which can't be open by Thunderbird "78.9.1", can be open with Thunderbird "88.0b2". The first email has no attachments and the second email has one attachment (simple csv file), which I can open.
