In case it helps narrow down where to look for the issue, I have dropped
back to the stock 5.8 kernel from the linux-image-5.8.0-53-generic
package in 21.04. With the 5.11 (from the standard repositories) and the
5.12 and 5.13rc2 (from mainline) I couldn't manage a day without a lock
up. Usually it was between 2 and 6, but with the 5.8 I have been without
problems for over a day now. I have had issues on the 5.8 series before,
but nowhere near as much as the newer kernels. I suspect, not being a
kernel developer, that the issue may be somewhere in the changes post
5.8. Mentioning in the hope that some extra info is of use.
