Public bug reported:
>From Debian:
"""
php-monolog as available in unstable/testing is not compatible with
PHP 8. Version 1 will not add PHP 8.0 compatibility, upstream expect
people to upgrade to php-monolog 2 in order to get PHP 8.0
compatibility.
php-monolog 2 is available in experimental (for a while), yet symfony 4
currently in unstable/testing is not compatible with php-monolog 2.
symfony 5, as available (and broken) in experimental, is compatible with
php-monolog 2 but is not expected to be ready for Bullseye (LTS is
expected to be published in roughly a year from now).
"""
Since we plan on shipping php8 in impish, it does not look like we will
be able to ship symfony 4. So, we will need to either move to symfony 5
or drop it from the archive if it is too broken for php8.
** Affects: symfony (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Fix Released
