Public bug reported:

I have been having repeated trouble on a Lenovo T440p, generally
happening when the screen locks after timeout and I am then unable to
get back into the machine with a frozen screen.

This time around, it appeared that chrome started going insane with a
load average of 25 on a 2 core machine. I tried to kill -9 the
processes with no success. Other programs would run but the load
averaged remained pinned at 25.

In the log there is a kernel oops as well as the kernel claiming it is
tainted without cause.
