Thanks for the bug report.
Please open the 'Extensions' app and ensure no more than the three
built-in Ubuntu extensions are enabled. If any others are listed then
please disable/uninstall them and log in again.
Also next time the problem happens, after rebooting please run:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
and attach the resulting text file here.
