Pieter, it's quite simple, FFmpeg 5 needs to be rebuilt against the new libx264-164 and I have been well aware of this for weeks. However, due FFmpeg 5 not being used by any other PPAs at my site it is not a priority. Also, in all likelihood the entire project that I've spent 2.5 years working on (all the various PPAs under https://launchpad.net/~savoury1) will be ending, due the fact that there is just such a tiny fraction of a percent of the many thousands and thousands (15,000 likely users based on recent stats) who even care enough about the work to support my effort doing it. Thus, now I have to urgently find some form of work that actually DOES bring in enough for me to literally survive.
