Do I understand correctly, that you were in the midst of a multi-package
system update, and it prompted you about upgrading autofs, you attempted
to review the changes side-by-side but then the failure occurred?
The upgrade log is a bit strange in that the errors all relate to
Gtk/X11 code paths, rather than autofs' packaging, so I'm wondering if
the real bug is not in autofs but in whatever app was launched for you
to review changes. If you can give us a bit more detailed description
on what you experienced, it will help in diagnosing the bug. Thanks
