Since there's so many questions that need to be asked before it becoming a definitive Bug Report, like if it's affected by some third-party packages or system configuration/modification done by me, I converted it into a question seeking better support.
So, the reason it was originally a bug-report, is that normally the package manager shouldn't just remove your entire Desktop Environment because of a simple update to the upgrade-manager, and that's why I marked this package for sending the report, since it's this package that causes the `apt dist-upgrade` command to ask for removing the kubuntu- desktop, as its upgrade manager (ubuntu-release-upgrader-qt). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969863 Title: python3-distupgrade and ubuntu-release-upgrader-core attempts to remove kubuntu-desktop and ubuntu-release-upgrader-qt To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1969863/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
