CentOS uses completely different packaging than Debian. The problem here is that the Debian and Ubuntu developers of NGINX decided to support "the most common setups" - the Debian and thus Ubuntu default configurations ship both IPv4 and IPv6 support. You can fix this by changing the `/etc/nginx/sites-available/default` listener and remove the IPv6 line and then running `apt install -f` and it should properly finish configuring it.
Remember this: When comparing Debian/Ubuntu to non-Debian/Ubuntu **the packages are different and wildly so** so you cannot compare CentOS to Debian/Ubuntu and vice versa for 'default functionality'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970390 Title: nginx install error on Ubuntu 20.04.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nginx/+bug/1970390/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
