Hello I just wanted to add that following a little testing I think it's very likely that this problem is due to the kernel. Running on the default 6.8.0-38 kernel has the issue, and so does the 6.8.0-40 kernel that at the time of writing is "proposed".
However, if I use kernels from the liquorix PPA which are more recent (specifically 6.9.10-1-liquorix-amd64), the issue is resolved. This is not really an ideal fix as using a bleeding edge kernel seems unlikely to result in the kind of stability desired from a LTS distribution. It would be great if multi-seat suspend could be made functional by resolving this issue.
