Public bug reported:

My laptop is a thinkbook 14 g6 abp and this issue occurs on every distro
I tried and in different desktop environments. If I hold down one of the
volume keys for roughly half a second or longer; the key will then
repeatedly press itself forever even after I stop holding the button. It
only stops when I quickly tap either the volume up or down button.

The distros I tried were:
Kubuntu 24.04 (plasma)
Linux Mint 21.3 (cinnamon)
Fedora 40 (plasma)
Debian 12.6 (xfce)

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
