An interesting thing is that you could put any password for wep 64 and the
router will
reset and not connect.

They changed the wireless interface in 7.10. In 6.10, you just
enabled it and set your ESSID and password. In 7.10, you have to enable roaming
and are given choices of 64/128 bit hex, 64/128 ascii etc.

I like the option about restricted drivers in 7.10. I used it for the nVidia
drivers and I was able to use the whole screen for the first time. I wish
the wireless would work.

Another drawback of 7.10 I noticed is the inability to resize the installation
screen of 7.10. Because I need the restricted drivers for the newer Nvidia
graphics, the installation puts the screen resolution at 800x600 and because I
am using a 19 inch Sony Multiscan 400PS monitor (an older one), I can resize
the install screen to install Gutsy because I can not see the forward
and backward buttons on the bottom of the screen as I can not get to the
bottom of the screen. There is no scroll bar on the side.
The only avenue is to upgrade to 7.10... (another oops).

I am using a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz PCI adapter
