Hmm, maybe something else is going on then? I have had nvidia-driver-550 "installed" for months and many reboot cycles, it seems like it was never loading even after re-install attempts (tried switching drivers a few times to see if it was a driver specific problem).
It seems like nvidia drivers installed through "Software & Updates" should automatically handle secure boot keys these days and everything should "just work" these days is my understanding correct there? If so I have had in-consistent experiences there, at times I will be prompted to enroll keys on reboot and other times I am not, this time around I have not been prompted, and it seems like the only think that's working here is disabling secure boot, but I need to dig around a bit more and collect some more info. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081244 Title: External Monitor backlight does not turn off on blank To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2081244/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
