** Description changed:

I have been using a light environment with Openbox for several years
now, using Lxpanel without issue. I did a test in a machine on bare
metal and also in another machine in Virtualbox, upgrading first from
20.04 to 22.04, which went well.

Then I upgraded from 22.04 to 24.04 in the computer, then in the other
machine in Virtulbox, and in both, Lxpanel ended broken.

Broken how : configured to 100% width and be centered it misses a large
part at the right of the screen and some features there are missing
(widget area, and else). I tried to remove the configuration file out of
the way (~/.config/lxpanel), but the new configuration had the same
  glitch.

I also tried to use other setups, such as moving the percentage to a
lower value, and some of the missing parts on the right appeared, but in
- a weird way.
+ a weird way. I have also tried uninstalling, checking all configuration
+ files gone from the system and from the home directory, then reinstall,
+ the result was unchanged, it misses almost half of the width on the
+ right side, including the different apps usually sitting there.

- How can I fix it?
+ How can I fix it? What can I do to bring relevant related debug
+ information?
