Public bug reported: git-ubuntu was uploaded to debian[1], and eventually synced down to ubuntu[2].
The preferred packaging method, however, is a snap[3], and that's how all the ubuntu documentation refers to it. There is no expectation of maintenance of the deb in ubuntu. The deb has already blocked a migration[4] by failing its tests, and also fails to build because of the same tests (now at build-time). With the above in mind, I would like to request its removal from Plucky. Additionally, git-ubuntu should then be added to the debian sync blocklist. 1. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/git-ubuntu 2. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/git-ubuntu 3. https://snapcraft.io/git-ubuntu 4. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/git-ubuntu/+bug/2091778 ** Affects: git-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: git-ubuntu was uploaded to debian[1], and eventually synced down to ubuntu[2].
