Public bug reported: After upgrading from Ubuntu 20.04LTS to 24.04LTS, one of my scripts started failing because the "number" command can no longer be found.
$ number Command 'number' not found, but can be installed with: sudo apt install bsdgames $ Interestingly, the bsdgames package is installed on my system. But apparently the number command was removed from bsdgames, together with a few others, in https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bsdgames/commit/?h=import/2.17-31&id=047c935596f53c9b861474ce27ce2e43997192b3, while the unknown command helper still thinks it is included. See also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bsdgames/+bug/2086703. Where can I find a replacement for the "number" command?
