What's the feature parity of the deb when compared to the snap?

I want to avoid the situation where someone reads about git-ubuntu,
tries apt-get install first (or sees c-m-n offering both a deb and a
snap, and prefers the deb), gets it, and then what we have documented
(for the snap, which is the "official" tool) does not work in the deb.
This can be very confusing.
