I can manage to bring the whole cluster down and restart at the new version. I.e. I can manage a few minutes without cluster (for example during a weekend). Would that work to update everything? If I understand correctly, the issue is in the network messaging. It seems to me if I shut down the cluster, upgrade and restart everything then it should be fine.
