Public bug reported:
The current Ubuntu 24.04 version of libllvm18:amd64 does not package a
libLLVM-18.so.18.1 shared library, only a symbolic link to it:
cks@sanspare:~$ ls -l /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libLLVM-18.so*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 May 27 2024 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libLLVM-18.so
-> libLLVM.so.18.1
cks@sanspare:~$ bpftrace
bpftrace: error while loading shared libraries: libLLVM-18.so.18.1: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
As far as I can tell nothing in Ubuntu 24.04 currently packages
libLLVM.so.18.1. This breaks all programs depending on this, including
programs such as bpftrace. This may be related to bug #2088386 .
