I have the exact same problem with an ATI card outputting to my wide screen TV over HDMI. Cuts off most of the trash icon on the right side of the bottom panel. I'm using an Asus M2A-VM HDMI motherboard which has an integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based (PCI-e) graphics card. My TV is a Samsung 1080p DLP. I'll be happy to provide more information if someone tells me what they need.
