I couldn't really understand what you're trying to report, could you please try
to explain me more extensively and hopefully provide the required steps to
fully reproduce this issue.
for instance when you mention it slows to a halp (stop), do you mean that you
were listening to some music and the playback suddenly stops, of rhythmbox
freeze, or the machine freeze, do the importing process stops?, etc.
