I don't know how to make further progress on this bug. We checked many 
components of this stack, but I don't know which one is the culprit. We have:
- nfs and its many daemons, including rpc
- kernel
- samba

The fact that this happens when re-exporting an already shared
filesystem (nfs -> samba -> client) makes this tricky.

Have you tried different versions of NFS in that mount? I don't recall.
