Ok, there are shenanigans going on with the length of the package version, as was mentioned here already.
Example (integrity test, with hmac-sha2-512): openssh/1:9.6p1-3ubuntu13.11+local1: PASS openssh/1:9.6p1-3ubuntu13.11+local10: FAIL BUT: openssh/1:9.6p1-3ubuntu13.11+ccache1: FAIL openssh/1:9.6p1-3ubuntu13.11+ccache1~202504281203~ubuntu24.04.1: PASS So it’s not just about length… as the above is much longer, and it passes. In all these versions, the banner is matching the package suffix version, like: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_9.6p1 Ubuntu-3ubuntu13.11+ccache1~202504281203~ubuntu24.04.1 Or more generally: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_9.6p1 Ubuntu-<version_suffix_of_package> -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2091943 Title: OpenSSH autopkgtests do not like tilde character in its version string (e.g. ~ppa1) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/2091943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
