> I think it doesn't work because noble has systemd 255 where 24.10 has systemd 256 which supports sshd-socket-generator
To clarify: - sshd-socket-generator is an Ubuntu-specifc generator shipped by the *openssh* package - systemd-ssh-generator is an upstream systemd generator, which is unrelated to the functionality provided by sshd-socket-generator If what you are after is to have systemd's systemd-ssh-generator *in Noble*, I don't think we can accommodate that. IMO, that's too large of a feature to backport to a stable release. To take a step back, can you clarify whether you tested my suggestion in comment #5 directly? I.e., make *only* that change (do not change Accept=no etc.). I understand the approach taken by systemd's systemd-ssh-generator is more convenient long-term, but I still don't understand why the simple drop-in I suggested is not enough to get this working on noble for the time being. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2111226 Title: [email protected] is still needed for hv_sock in Noble release To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openssh/+bug/2111226/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
