In the git repo of the kernel
(git://git.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-kernel/ubuntu/+source/linux/+git/plucky, tag
Ubuntu-6.14.0-22.22) I found a change, which may cause the configuration change
during package build.
The following line in file `debian.master/config/annotations` may change
the setting during package build.

The line was added by Paolo Pisati in commit
7f07251813c5b9e500233769ba7af63b62c2dd1f. Maybe he can give some
background about the change.
