Hi Timo,
Vulkan has been upgraded to 1.4 version, which has many new features for
app developers.
Apps using Vulkan 1.4 APIs do not work on Ubuntu 24.04 as it has older
loader (present in libvulkan1 package).
25.04 has the latest 1.4 loader, can it be back ported to 24.04? It'll
solve multiple app developer's issues using LTS 24.04 for their
development.
I'm working on Nvidia-Tegra device (aarch64), which uses Ubuntu 24.04
and having older loader is hampering our ability to have this device
Khronos certified with Vulkan 1.4 CTS.
So requesting you to upgrade the loader in 24.04 to same version as it's
there in 25.04.
It does not have any other dependancy lib upgrades required, so should
be easy to upgrade.
