Regarding the autopkgtests, this isn't exactly meaningful. We have an extensive 
test suite that runs at build time; and we can run that at autopkgtest time, 
but it's not the most meaningful, since we end up recompiling the project 
rather than testing the installed binary.

One other thing that should be done is to have the GNU coreutils' test
suite declare a Test-Depends on rust-coreutils, as that will cause that
one to be triggered.


>  3. Please address the translation issue.

Translations are supported in proposed. We have English and French. The
translation format is not supported by Launchpad. We do not anticipate a
solution that works with our language pack based tooling in the short
term.
